Does AliExpress accept cryptocurrency or Apple Pay?

Why your card gets declined on AliExpress

The refusal is almost never about the card itself. Four checks run at once, and one mismatch is enough.

• Your bank blocks foreign online payments. On many cards this is off by default and has to be switched on.
• The card country does not match the account or billing country, and the merchant compares the two.
• There is no headroom for the verification hold. The merchant freezes a small amount and releases it later.
• Several failed attempts in a row, after which the payment method gets flagged for a few hours.
• Customs duties, where they apply, are not charged by AliExpress and are paid separately on delivery.
