Perplexity Pro is the paid tier with unlimited Pro searches, model choice and file uploads; Max adds the highest limits and the newest models. Both are subscriptions charged to a card. Where Perplexity takes payment

Why Perplexity declines a card and how to fix it
- Card declined at checkout: balance below the plan price plus the hold. Top up with a buffer and retry.
- Billing address does not match: use a US address with a valid ZIP.
- Card not accepted: try the other brand, IZIPAY issues both Visa and Mastercard.
- Renewal failed: Perplexity retries for a few days and then downgrades to free. Top up and re-subscribe; history is kept.
- App store purchase fails: the card is not on your Apple ID or Google account. Subscribe on the web instead.
