Notion is billed per workspace, per member and per month or year, entirely by card through Stripe. There is no crypto option and no invoice-by-transfer for small teams. If your company or your freelance income is in USDT, a crypto-funded Visa or Mastercard is the practical way to keep a Notion workspace paid. This guide explains how Notion bills, where the card goes, how to get proper invoices, and how to avoid the two errors that cause most failed payments.
How Notion bills
- Plus: for small teams, priced per member per month, cheaper on annual billing.
- Business: adds Notion AI for every member, advanced permissions and SAML, priced per member.
- Enterprise: negotiated contract, invoiced.
- Notion AI on Plus: an add-on per member on some plans.
Every paid plan except Enterprise is charged to one card on the workspace. Members do not pay individually; the workspace owner does, and the charge changes automatically as members are added or removed, with prorated adjustments.
Step by step
- Register with IZIPAY, choose a virtual Visa or Mastercard, pay $49.99 in USDT, BTC or USDC. The card is ready in about two minutes.
- Top up with USDT on TRC20 for the first charge: seats multiplied by the plan price, plus a few dollars for the authorisation hold.
- In Notion, open Settings, then Billing, then Upgrade or Change plan. Choose Plus or Business, monthly or annual.
- In the Stripe checkout enter the card number, expiry, CVV, and a US billing address with a valid ZIP to match the US BIN. The company name and tax ID fields are optional but appear on invoices.

For accounting, Notion issues a PDF invoice for every charge under Settings, Billing, Invoices. The invoice shows the workspace, the seats and the card's last four digits, which is all most bookkeepers need.
One card per workspace
Agencies and teams that manage several workspaces should issue one IZIPAY card per workspace. Each card carries only that workspace's budget, invoices reconcile cleanly, and when a client leaves you freeze their card instead of hunting for the subscription. Why Notion declines a card and how to fix it
- Card declined: the charge is seats times price, which people underestimate. Check the total in the checkout and top up with a buffer.
- Billing address does not match: use a US address with a valid ZIP.
- Card not accepted: try the other brand. IZIPAY issues both Visa and Mastercard.
- Renewal failed and the workspace was downgraded: pages are kept, blocks above the free limit become read-only. Top up and reopen Billing to reactivate.
- Added members mid-cycle and the prorated charge failed: same fix, top up and retry from Billing.

Five members on Plus at roughly $10 per member per month is $50 a month, $600 a year. Loading monthly adds 3% top-up fees, $18 a year, plus twelve TRC20 transfers at about $1. Annual billing is cheaper on Notion's side and cuts the transfers to one. The card is $49.99 once and pays for Slack, Figma, GitHub and every other tool on the same balance.
