IZIPAY vs Revolut: Crypto Spending Compared (2026)
Revolut is not really a crypto card company. It is a licensed neobank that added crypto trading and, more recently, a dedicated crypto card that converts holdings to fiat at the point of sale with no conversion fee charged at checkout.
That framing matters, because it explains both what Revolut does well and where it stops. A bank account gives you deposit protection, local transfers, a real IBAN and customer support. It also comes with everything a bank is obliged to ask you, and a map of countries where it is licensed to operate.
IZIPAY is the narrow product: a virtual card you open with an email address and fund with stablecoins. It has none of the banking features and none of the banking prerequisites.
Revolut pricing, plan structure and country coverage below reflect published terms as of September 2026 and are set by Revolut, not by us. Plans and regional availability change regularly, so verify current terms with the provider before committing money.
Where Revolut works
Revolut crypto services and crypto card functionality are available in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore and Brazil. The dedicated physical crypto card launched to the United Kingdom and the EEA, excluding Hungary, Switzerland and Portugal.
That is a strong list of wealthy markets. It is also a list that excludes almost everywhere our own customers actually live: the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Nigeria, Turkey, Egypt, Kenya, the Philippines, Vietnam and most of Latin America.
If you are in a supported country, Revolut is a serious option and you should consider it properly. If you are not, there is no application to make.

The subscription tier is the real fee
Revolut's headline is that it does not charge a conversion fee when you spend crypto. That is accurate at the checkout itself. The cost sits one step earlier, in the trading fee applied when crypto moves, which is 1.49% on the free Standard plan and falls as you climb the paid tiers.
So the cheap version of Revolut is the expensive version of the subscription. Getting the trading fee down means paying a monthly fee, and the top tier runs to £55 per month. Whether that maths works depends entirely on volume: at high monthly spend the subscription pays for itself easily, and at low spend it never does.
IZIPAY has one number, 3% on top-up, and no plan to choose. It is higher than Revolut's Standard trading fee. It is also not conditional on a subscription, a volume threshold or a fair usage policy.
Verification is the dividing line
This is where the two products stop being comparable.
Revolut is a regulated financial institution, so it must verify identity: a government-issued document and a live video selfie for biometric matching. Most applications clear within a day. Some do not, and business or complex residency cases can run to a week.
That requirement is not a flaw. It is the price of deposit protection and a real bank account, and for many people it is worth paying.
But it does rule out a large group: people whose documents do not match a current address, people whose residency status has no category in the flow, and people who simply are not in a licensed country. For a spending card, some people are also unwilling to hand over biometric identity data at all.
IZIPAY asks for an email address for standard individual use. There is no document upload, no selfie and no address check, because the card is pre-funded with stablecoins rather than being a credit relationship or a deposit account.
What you give up by choosing IZIPAY
We should be straight about this, because a comparison that only lists the other side's weaknesses is not worth reading.
Choosing IZIPAY over Revolut means giving up a bank account. No IBAN, no local transfers, no salary deposit, no deposit protection scheme, no branch of financial regulation standing behind your balance. If your goal is to replace your primary bank, Revolut does that and we explicitly do not.
We also have no rewards program, no savings products and no multi-currency account. We issue a card, it spends, and that is the entire scope.
Who should choose which
Choose Revolut if you live in a supported country, you want a genuine bank account with crypto attached, you are comfortable with full identity verification including a biometric selfie, and either your volume justifies a paid tier or the Standard 1.49% is acceptable to you.
Choose IZIPAY if you are outside Revolut's licensed markets, or you want a card without a bank relationship underneath it, or full biometric verification is not something you are willing to complete for a spending card. You are buying access and simplicity, and the 3% is what that costs.
For readers weighing several options at once, our comparisons with Wise, the Crypto.com card and Coinbase cover the same ground against different providers.
The bottom line
Revolut is the better product for anyone who can have it and wants a bank. It is cheaper per dollar moved on the free tier, it is regulated, and it does a great deal that we do not attempt.
The catch is the map. Revolut serves the EEA, the UK and a short list of developed markets. If you are in the UAE, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, India or Indonesia, the comparison never gets as far as the fee table.
