Does AliExpress accept cryptocurrency or Apple Pay?

AliExpress does not accept cryptocurrency. It accepts cards, and Apple Pay is available in some markets through the app. A card funded with crypto works for both routes.

AliExpress leans heavily on 3-D Secure. The checkout hands you to the bank for confirmation, and if that step does not complete the order fails even though the card is fine.

• Standard orders: the card is held at checkout and charged at dispatch.
• Multi-seller orders: split into separate shipments and charged separately.
• 3-D Secure: the confirmation code reaches you by email on our cards.
• Refunds and disputes: the money returns to the same card, on AliExpress timing.

Why your card gets declined on AliExpress

The refusal is almost never about the card itself. Four checks run at once, and one mismatch is enough.

• Your bank blocks foreign online payments. On many cards this is off by default and has to be switched on.
• The card country does not match the account or billing country, and the merchant compares the two.
• There is no headroom for the verification hold. The merchant freezes a small amount and releases it later.
• Several failed attempts in a row, after which the payment method gets flagged for a few hours.
• Customs duties, where they apply, are not charged by AliExpress and are paid separately on delivery.

What it actually costs with our card

The virtual card is $49.99 once, with no monthly fee and no inactivity fee. Topping it up costs 3% plus the network fee, and the network fee varies a lot: BEP-20 and Polygon are the cheapest, TRC-20 and ERC-20 cost more. The per-transaction limit is $10,000.
