IZIPAY review: what the card costs, where it works, and what it does not
How the card actually works
The card is prepaid. You top it up with USDT, Bitcoin, USDC or several other coins, the amount is converted at that moment, and the card then holds ordinary dollars. When you pay, the shop sees a normal card payment and no crypto is involved.
This matters because some crypto cards work the other way round and spend from your wallet at the moment you tap. Ours does not. If the card has no balance, the payment is declined, whatever is sitting in your wallet.
Issue takes about two minutes. You pay for the card, and the details appear in your account and in our Telegram app. A top up appears on the card within a few minutes of the blockchain confirming it.
What it costs
There are three cards. A virtual Visa or Mastercard is $49.99. A Mastercard that works with Apple Pay and Google Pay is $59.99. A physical metal card, shipped worldwide, is $459.99. All three are one time payments with no monthly fee.
Topping up costs 3% of the amount plus a network fee that covers the blockchain transfer. The network fee depends on the chain you send from: $3 on Tron, $3 on Ethereum, $0.50 on BNB Chain and Polygon. Sending on BNB Chain or Polygon is therefore much cheaper than on Tron, which surprises people who default to Tron out of habit.
ATM withdrawals on the physical card cost 1%. We show the exact arithmetic on the top up screen before you confirm: the service fee, the network fee, and the amount that will land on the card.
Where the card actually works
Most reviews stop at "accepted anywhere Visa is accepted", which is true and useless. Some merchants decline prepaid cards more often than others, and the only way to know is to look at real payments. Here is what ours show.
Across 13,883 completed card payments, 82% went through. By service, counting each attempt separately:
- Uber: 96% of attempts approved
- Amazon: 87%
- PayPal: 86%
- Telegram: 80%
- Google Play: 79%
- Meta advertising: 79%
- Anthropic, for Claude: 77%
- Apple: 73%
- OpenAI, for ChatGPT: 64%
- Steam: 50%
- Adobe: 17%
Two things to read into this. Services built around card subscriptions, such as Uber, Amazon and PayPal, rarely argue with the card. Steam and Adobe decline prepaid cards far more often, and no card issuer can promise otherwise, so plan around it rather than hoping.
These are per attempt figures. A declined attempt is not always a dead end: a second try, or a different browser, often goes through. We publish the numbers as they are because a review that only claims success is not worth reading.
What the card does not do
It does not spend your crypto wallet directly. Money has to be on the card first.
It gives you no credit. You can only spend what you loaded.
There is no iPhone or Android app. You use the website or our Telegram app. The card itself works in Apple Pay and Google Pay once you add it, which is a different thing.
You get no bank chargeback. If a merchant takes your money and gives you nothing, you deal with the merchant. A bank card would give you a dispute process, and this does not.
It is not anonymous in the sense of being untraceable. We ask for no documents, but the card runs on the normal payment networks, and merchants see a normal card payment.
When not to buy it
If you spend less than about $20 a month, the fees eat too much of it. A $10 top up on Tron arrives as $5.70, and that is a bad deal for you.
If you need the money back when something goes wrong, use a bank card. We cannot reverse a payment that a merchant has already taken.
If you want to hold crypto and spend it as it rises, this is the wrong tool. The conversion happens when you top up, so the balance is dollars from that moment on.
Is IZIPAY legitimate?
This is our own site, so take the answer with that in mind and check it yourself.
The cards are issued by a licensed card issuer on the Visa and Mastercard networks, not by us. We are the service that sells them and handles the crypto side. Your balance sits on the card at the issuer, not in a wallet we control.
Over 1,000 cards have been issued and the payment figures above come from the same system that serves them. Customer reviews are collected by an independent platform and published at izipay.me/reviews, where we cannot edit or remove them.
What can go wrong, honestly: a card issue can fail at the issuer and need reissuing, and a top up can take longer than a few minutes when a blockchain is congested. Both are visible in your account, and support answers at support@izipay.me.
Common questions
No. An email address is the whole requirement. There is no passport, selfie or proof of address.
USDT, USDC, Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRX, BNB and SOL. USDT on BNB Chain or Polygon is the cheapest because the network fee is $0.10.
Yes. The card holds dollars and converts to the local currency the way any dollar card does, at the network rate.
The money stays on your card. Check the balance covers the full amount including any merchant hold, then try again.
About two minutes after payment is confirmed, at any hour.
